The following information was requested by focus group members to be available before the next meeting:

  1. Comprehensive development provisions from other coastal village environments.
  2. Ferry Information - Seasonal and week v's weekend differences
  3. ARC plan change introducing Outstanding Natural Landscapes (Plan change 8). Council has this information and will bring it to the next meeting. Topic 2 - Landscape Assessment has looked into this issue.
  4. Subdivision Statistics for Waiheke - where is it happening and what sizes?
  5. How could plan deal with cumulative effects?
  6. Options for making plan easier for business activities, ie:
    • A wider range of permitted activities
    • Options to reduce notification demands
    • Provision of public infrastructure e.g parking, wastewater
    • Better provision for a range of visitor facilities i.e change of definition

Information Requests Pertaining to other Topic Groups

  1. What are the ARC requirements for aerobic wastewater systems?
  2. What Rodney District Council and others are doing to provide for an integrated transport system
  3. Creation of parking standards for business activities, including allowing shared parking between businesses depending on hours of operation of businesses.
